Valya is a 4.5-year-old medium girl with a beautifully gentle, uncomplicated nature. She loves people and affection, but never demands it. Instead, she has the sweetest little habit — she quietly puts her head on you and simply freezes there, perfectly content to be stroked for as long as you are willing. ❤️

She is one of those lovely adult dogs who feels ready for family life: friendly, adaptable, affectionate and past the crazy puppy stage, while still enjoying games, walks and fun.

💔 Rescue Story

Valya was wandering through a village with several other dogs. Sadly, not everyone wanted them there. Villagers killed a small male dog who was part of their group and injured another. Valya was in danger too.

One kind woman couldn’t stand by and watch what was happening. She hid Valya and kept her safe until she could be handed over to a volunteer and taken away from the village.

Now this gentle girl is safe — but what she really needs is to move beyond simply being safe and finally have a family of her own.

Valya currently lives in a private shelter environment and walks nicely on the lead.

Meeting people is easy for her. She runs over to say hello straight away and happily accepts affection from new friends.

She is very loving, but there is nothing demanding about her. Valya understands when people are busy and doesn’t constantly insist on attention. But when cuddles are available, she certainly won’t refuse them. 😊

One of the loveliest things she does is gently place her head against you and become completely still while you stroke her— a quiet little moment of complete happiness.

Valya is also good with other dogs. She enjoys canine company and likes to play, but she can be equally happy as the only dog at home.

She is active, but not too much and her activity level can vary depending on the company around her. She is happy to join in when there is fun to be had, but she doesn’t need life to be permanently exciting.

She is also friendly with children and behaves nicely around them.

Valya is a genuinely adaptable girl who could suit many different families.

She could live with another friendly dog or be perfectly happy as the only dog, with her people as the centre of her world.

She could make a wonderful family companion, including for a home with respectful children aged 8+. Equally, she could be very happy with a couple or individual looking for a loving adult dog who enjoys walks and activities but also knows how to settle.

There is nothing complicated about what Valya wants from life. A comfortable home. Nice walks. Kind people. A little play. And somewhere warm to rest that beautiful head when she comes looking for a cuddle. ❤️

💞 Valya survived a place where simply being an unwanted dog could cost her life. Yet she comes running to meet people with an open heart. She doesn’t ask for much and she doesn’t push herself forward. She just quietly offers her affection and seems ready to fit herself into whatever loving family finally chooses her.
