💔 Rescue Story

Petrus was a family dog and used to live with people, and wasn’t born as a stray. But one day his family moved away, left their home, the dog and fled abroad from the war. And he appeared alone in a village, running dangerously close to the highway, trying to find food, safety and warmth. It was unusually severe winter, with frosts under minus 20 and noone knows how he was surviving there for weeks.
Eventually, he was brought to safety before something terrible happened.

🐾 More About Petrus

Petrus lives in an outdoor enclosure but walks beautifully on the lead and absolutely loves getting out for walks and playtime.

He approaches everyone immediately — open, happy, and ready for interaction.

He is playful and affectionate, but settles good, especially after he has had a chance to run, play, or explore first.

Petrus is an active young dog, but importantly — he is not chaotic all day long. Once his energy is spent, he settles well and can happily entertain himself with toys without demanding attention from people.

And toys are his absolute passion 😄 He carries them around, hides them in little secret places, and treats them like treasures.

He loves other dogs and is very friendly — in fact, smaller dogs sometimes bully him and even steal his food 🤦‍♀️

Like many teenage dogs, he can become overexcited during play, may jump, hug and sometimes uses his mouth when playful or asking for attention – just immature puppy behaviour that still needs guidance and structure.

🏡 Ideal Home

Petrus needs an active home with proper walks, play, and ideally a secure outdoor space where he can move freely.

A house with a garden/territory near the home would suit him perfectly.

He can live as the only dog with some active, who can provide good amount of walks, play, mental stimulation or with other friendly dogs who enjoy play and help him to burn with puppy energy.

His future family should enjoy active life and understand that he is still a young dog who needs continued guidance, engagement, and time to mature.

💞 Petrus is pure young-dog joy — goofy, affectionate, playful, and full of personality. The kind of dog who fills a home with movement, laughter, and hidden toys in unexpected places.
