๐๐ถ SCOUT โ A Bouncy Boy Saved from Danger, Looking for Safety and Kindness
๐ฌ๐ง Currently at Kennels
๐ถ Scout is a cheerful and sweet-natured about 11 months old Labrador cross, still just a big puppy in need of guidance and security. Heโs a large-sized boy with an even larger heart ๐๐ถ
Rescue Story:
๐ A rather strange and sad tale โ Scout was reportedly rescued from an act of cruelty. A woman told us she saved him from a man who intended to drown him. But although she saved his life, she couldnโt keep him. Her dog was not accepting him. She found him a home but after 1 night they said he is too energetic for them and there 3 years old daughter scared of him. ๐๐ข She was calling all Rescue places and nobody could help ๐. She was so desperate and so grateful when our Foster agreed to take him on.
He was passed on again, landing in an emergency foster who kindly stepped in. But unfortunately Foster wasn’t able to keep him for long, leaving for holidays and unfortunately Scout had to move to boarding kennels. Scout is fading there and very much looking for a stable place, with kind, patient, experienced people where he will be loved and where his needs of mental and physical stimulation can be met๐พ๐๐
Detailed Information:
๐ถ Scout is very much a typical young Lab cross โ friendly, playful, excitable and sometimes silly, loves people, and adores a good game of fetch. His whole body wags when he sees other dogs, and heโs keen to make friends. He has no aggression, but needs to learn the boundaries: he loves to jump on people not understanding his real size and can be playfully mouthy.
๐ถ He is used to living indoors. On the lead, heโs surprisingly good โ pulls but manageable, just enthusiasm for life. He eats dry biscuits but would no doubt enjoy a tastier menu.
Scout needs a home where someone will be there all the time for him due to his separation anxiety. If left he may be destructive and this will worsen his behaviour. He needs structure and training with those who have experience dealing with young energetic dogs.
Scout has no recall and no boundaries, whilst he has shown me heโs quick to learn, this will need to be consistent training. He can jump and be mouthy which if youโre not able to deal with and help him will just lead to him going back and forth to the kennels.
Scout needs an active foster/owner who can dedicate the time to taking him on active walks and getting him out in a secure enclosed paddock where he can thrive and work on his training.
Scout is very dog friendlyโฆbut this doesnโt always mean he is going to be a good fit for a home with another dog. Ideally to arrange dogs meeting before adopting him, or even to meet him a couple of times so there will be possibility to observe their interactions in a safe responsible way.

๐ Scout is young, impressionable, and full of hope. With the right people by his side, heโll blossom into a loyal, happy companion. Heโs not had the easiest start, but heโs been gentle through it all โ eager for love, eager to belong. Could you be the calm voice and steady hand that gives him that second chance? ๐
