💙🐶 REGGIE – HE MAKES FRIENDSHIP LOOK EASY 🐶💙

Reggie is a 2-year-old small/lower-medium boy with an easy, affectionate nature. He is friendly with people, children and dogs, enjoys walks and toys, and has that lovely ability to adapt to the life happening around him.

But perhaps the sweetest thing about Reggie is how he asks for affection. He won’t push himself onto you. He simply sits nearby… then somehow gets a little closer… and a little closer… until he is conveniently positioned exactly where your hand can reach him. 😁💙

💔 Rescue Story

Reggie was brought to safety from Zaporizhzhia, a region of Ukraine that has lived under the reality of war for years. We don’t know every detail of his life before rescue or exactly what he experienced there. What we do know is the dog who came out of it — a gentle, sociable boy who still greets new people with happiness and seems genuinely delighted every time another potential friend appears.

Now Reggie is safe in rescue, but he is living in a private rescue shelter. For such a people-loving dog, we hope that is only a temporary chapter before proper family life begins.

This summer, during my annual trip to Ukraine, I visited the shelter and had the pleasure to meet Reggie myself.

And what a handsome boy he is!!! 😍

He made such a lovely impression on me and my daughter — calm, sweet, affectionate and completely friendly with everyone around him, people and dogs alike. He is small, a lovely compact boy, and there was something incredibly gentle and easy about being around him.

Sometimes you read descriptions and try to imagine what a dog is really like. With Reggie, I can genuinely say he is a beautiful, sweet-natured boy who deserves to be someone’s much-loved family dog. 💙

Reggie is wonderfully uncomplicated with people. He happily meets strangers straight away, but doesn’t overwhelm them. He is pleased to see you, interested in making friends and very affectionate, while still having lovely manners about it.

And then begins the Reggie manoeuvre. 🤭

If you sit beside him, he might start a perfectly respectable distance away. Then he moves slightly closer. A little closer again. And before long, he is tucked right beside you, quietly enjoying being stroked as though this was obviously where he had intended to sit all along.

🏡 Ideal Home

Reggie is one of those dogs we consider a wonderfully versatile match.

He could live with another friendly dog and would enjoy having a canine playmate, but can be also happy as the only dog. Reggie is sufficiently people-oriented and adaptable to be perfectly happy as the only dog too.

He could suit a family with children, a couple or an individual looking for a loving companion. He doesn’t require an unusually active lifestyle — normal enjoyable walks, play, affection and being included in everyday life should make him very happy.

Most importantly, Reggie wants people. He seems ready to adjust to whatever shape his future family happens to take.

💞 Sometimes the loveliest dogs aren’t the ones shouting the loudest for attention. Reggie doesn’t need to climb onto your head to make sure you know he loves you. He’ll simply sit beside you. Then slightly nearer. Then nearer still.

And somehow, five minutes later, you’ll find yourself stroking his head while Reggie looks extremely pleased with how successfully his plan worked. 💙

Reggie is fully healthy, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (approved laboratory certificate provided).
