Reserved: UK Based (Bath BA2 ): Oxy-6,5 year old girl -upper-medium

❤️🐶 OXY – A Big Heart That Never Stopped Hoping 🐶❤️

Oxy arrived in the UK just a few days ago (Friday 6 March). She travelled a long way and stepped into a completely new world. Sadly, after three full days in her foster-to-adopt home, the family realised that the situation was simply too overwhelming for their circumstances.

One of the challenges is that their garden isn’t secure enough for a dog like Oxy. Some walls are only around 4 feet high, and Oxy is agile and capable of jumping. Because of this, the family cannot safely let her out freely and must take her outside only on the lead, including during the night. Managing this constantly has become exhausting for them.

Oxy never had the chance to properly decompress and settle after the huge change in her life. Now we urgently need a kind, patient foster who can give her the calm start she deserves — someone who can become the bridge between home and homelessness, allowing her to settle at her own pace and gain confidence in this new world.

Oxy has no defensive or aggressive traits. She is a gentle, submissive girl who simply needs time, patience, love and a peaceful environment. Another calm, friendly sometimes playful adult dog could help her enormously by showing her that life in a home is safe.

💔 Rescue Story
Oxy once had a family. When the full-scale war began, her life changed again. Her family fled the country and left Oxy behind with an elderly grandmother in a village.

She lived outside in a kennel, waiting. When the grandmother passed away, Oxy was left alone in the yard of an abandoned house — hungry, lonely and forgotten. Only later did the family contact rescue asking for help for her.

Despite everything, Oxy never lost her gentle heart or her quiet hope that someone would come for her.

🐕 More About Oxy
The first days after arrival were understandably overwhelming. Her new environment, noises, smells and routines were completely unfamiliar.

Her current temporary family described her as a very lovely, gentle dog who was anxious in a brand-new environment.

She is physically agile and clever, able to open internal doors — signs of a smart dog who simply needs guidance and structure.

At the moment she is anxious when left alone and may try to find ways to escape unfamiliar surroundings. She can bark when the outside environment feels overwhelming. However, she shows no defensive aggression at all and responds well to calm handling.

Even within a few days she already began improving — accidents decreased and she started to ask to go outside.

Oxy is affectionate and bonds strongly with people once she feels safe.

🏡 Ideal Foster / Future Home
Oxy needs a calm, patient environment where she can decompress properly after such a huge life transition.

A rural or semi-rural setting would suit her best, away from overwhelming noise and busy surroundings. A fully secure garden with nothing standing near the walls where she can relax and safely explore.

She would benefit from living with a calm, confident dog who could help her navigate the world and build confidence.

Most importantly, she needs people who understand that rescue dogs sometimes need time, patience and kindness to rediscover stability.

💞 Oxy is a sensitive soul who has experienced too many changes. With patience and a calm environment, she has every chance to blossom into a deeply loyal and loving companion.
