💔 Rescue Story

Nichka was abandoned outside a foster home in small rural town. Someone simply left her there, hoping somebody else would take responsibility for her future.

Thankfully, they did. Instead of growing up alone and unwanted, Nichka was given the chance to learn what kindness looks like.

Nichka lives indoors with other dogs and has lovely house manners. She is quiet, clean, doesn’t bark unnecessarily, and never looks for trouble.

When meeting new people, she is shy at first. She quietly watches from a little distance before deciding it is safe to come closer. However, everything changes when another confident dog is nearby.

Nichka watches them carefully, copies their behaviour, and gains confidence by following their lead.

More than simply enjoying canine company, she genuinely relies on it to understand new situations. Other dogs are her teachers, her role models, and her greatest source of emotional security.

She is submissive and very polite with every dog she meets, whether they are young or old, small or large. She never argues, never tries to dominate, and naturally adapts her play and behaviour to suit the dogs around her. Nichka seems happiest when she feels she belongs to a little pack.

She also loves toys and plays beautifully with them, always in a calm, gentle way.

One of the loveliest things about Nichka is how hard she tries. She genuinely wants to do everything right. She seems to be constantly asking, “Am I being a good girl?” and quietly does her very best to please.

Nichka needs a peaceful home with a secure garden and at least one friendly, confident resident dog.

She would be particularly well suited to a family looking for a companion for their existing dog, especially if that dog sometimes spends a few hours alone during the day. Nichka is deeply comforted by canine company and is very unlikely to struggle with separation while she has another dog beside her.

Her future family should allow her to build trust at her own pace. She may never be the dog who rushes into strangers’ arms, but every small step she chooses to take towards you will feel incredibly special because it has been given freely.
