💙🐶 MALIK – A MAGNIFICENT TEDDY BEAR WITH A HEART OF GOLD 🐶💙
🔄 Update
Malik arrived in UK in spring straight to foster, a wonderful family who adopted another dog from us before. He had a treatable growth which required veterinary treatment and his foster, who immediately fell in love with him, said he will not let him go until fully healthy. Malik has completed his treatment and has been given a clean bill of health by his veterinarian. He is completely healthy now, requires no ongoing treatment, and is 100% ready for many happy years ahead with his new family.

💔 Rescue Story
Malik was found alone on the territory of an abandoned factory — unwanted and forgotten. He was taken to a municipal shelter where dogs are given only a short window to be claimed before being released back onto the streets.
Volunteers knew Malik would not cope with that life. His trusting nature and gentle character made him far too vulnerable. Thankfully, he was given the chance he deserved.
🐾 More About Malik
Malik is an incredibly calm, balanced and emotionally intelligent dog.
His foster says: “Malik is a truly special boy. He’s gentle, wise and very empathic. His easy-going nature makes him very easy to live with and his attention-grabbing looks mean he gets a lot of fuss.”
He settled immediately into foster life and integrated well with the resident rescue dog, who is nervous herself.
“He’s very respectful of her space and never reacted to any of her attempts to wind him up.”
Malik has a wonderful way about him. He seems to understand other dogs and people instinctively and responds with patience and kindness.
He absolutely trusts and loves people and happily introduces himself to everyone he meets both inside and outside the house. His striking appearance may be what first catches people’s attention, but it is his wonderful temperament that leaves the lasting impression.
He enjoys company, affection and a good game of tug. He’s clever, inquisitive and genuinely loves being involved in everyday life. His foster describes him simply as: “He’s a joy to be around.”
Like many Malamute-type dogs, Malik is active and loves his walks. He would want to be with a family who enjoy walking, hiking and spending time outdoors. But once he’s had a good walk, he’ll happily settle and snooze all day long.
He is a strong boy with a natural prey drive, which is exactly what you would expect from his breed type. He will need owners who understand large northern breeds and can provide appropriate walks, guidance and enrichment.
His foster also feels that his occasional uncertainty around unfamiliar dogs is likely linked to being on lead and having limited social opportunities since arriving in the UK. He believes his confidence will continue to improve with more training, positive experiences and regular socialisation.
🏡 Ideal Home
Malik would thrive with people who enjoy outdoor life and want a dog as a true companion. A home with a secure garden and owners who appreciate large breeds would suit him perfectly.
He could live as an only dog or potentially with a suitable friendly and calm female dog.
Most importantly, he needs a family who will appreciate the wonderful dog he is — calm, loving, loyal and full of quiet wisdom.
💞 Malik is one of those dogs who doesn’t need to try hard to be special. He simply is. The kind of dog who becomes part of the family from day one and leaves pawprints on your heart forever. 💙
