🐾 Lou’s Story 🐾
🐶 Lou has grown up in a loving family with two other dogs, including a large French Mastiff with whom she was once inseparable. Unfortunately, since Christmas last year, Lou has had repeated conflicts with the Mastiff, despite never showing aggression to people or other dog at home or any other dog outside the home.
🐶 Her owners have tried veterinary support, including anti-anxiety medication, but the situation has not improved. To protect both dogs, they have made the difficult decision to rehome Lou. They have contacted a few other rescues, like Blue Cross, RSPCA, Dog Trust, but all refused to help.
🐶 Outside of this issue, Lou is the sweetest, most affectionate companion — she loves cuddles, playing with toys, and curling up near her people. She enjoys walks, though can pull sometimes (anti-pulling harness helps) , greets visitors warmly, and settles after the initial excitement.
This is what her family says: “Lou is the sweetest, cuddly girl. She lives for contact and love. She has always wanted to be close to our other dogs and sleeps with them, wants to be close and to know where everyone is. She is especially close with our son. She can become anxious when left alone but will settle after a while. “
🏡 Ideal Home 🏡
🐶 Lou would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can be the centre of attention. She could live as an only dog or with a gentle, well-matched companion. She’s used to a house with a garden and loves being part of family life.
🐶 Lou can be a little anxious when left alone. Prefers not to be left alone, especially when she will be the only dpg and during settlement period in a new home (2-3 weeks ). She’s fully house-trained, affectionate, and happiest when surrounded by love and security.
🩺 Health Information 🩺
🐶 Lou is spayed, vaccinated (Aug 2025), microchipped, and in good health. No ongoing medication required.
