Kai and Gerda have just had their first UK vet full examination… and once again they’ve been given a clean bill of health. ❤️

The vet believes that his missing eye may actually be a congenital condition rather than the result of an old injury. Of course, there is no way to know for certain now, but it certainly doesn’t affect him in any way. He lives a completely normal, happy life and most people quickly forget he only has one eye.

And we made another surprising discovery… They’re even smaller than we thought! 🤭 On photos they somehow look much bigger, but in reality they are beautifully compact dogs.

💙 Kai weighs just 14 kg.
❤️ Gerda weighs only 11 kg.

💔 Yet somehow… they are still waiting. We honestly don’t know where their family is…

These two wonderful dogs have everything people usually dream of—kind, healthy, beautifully balanced, affectionate and incredibly easy to live with.

Kai and Gerda are a bonded brother and sister, just 2 years old. They have already survived more than most dogs ever should, but somehow they never lost their gentle hearts.

They do everything together… exploring, playing, relaxing, sleeping and quietly making every day brighter simply by being themselves.

💔 Rescue Story

Kai and Gerda were abandoned together in Western Ukraine. Originally there were three young dogs. One never survived.
They have stayed together through everything life has thrown at them.

🐾 More About Them

Every week they continue to prove what wonderfully easy dogs they are. They have settled beautifully into foster, love their walks, enjoy exploring, adore the garden and then happily curl up together for a nap afterwards.

They walk well, travel well, settle well and simply make a home feel peaceful. Their foster says they are an absolute pleasure to live with.

They are affectionate without being demanding, playful without being chaotic, and active outdoors while wonderfully calm indoors.

Watching them together is something truly special. They don’t just live alongside each other… they genuinely enjoy one another’s company and bring each other comfort every single day.

Both are fully healthy, neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Kai is missing one eye, which the vet now believes is a congenital condition rather than the result of an old injury. It does not affect his quality of life in any way. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (approved laboratory certificate provided).
