Juju’s story begins far from safety. She was found by a kind-hearted Ukrainian soldier near the front lines – a little, frightened soul in the midst of chaos. He took her to safer areas and gently placed her in a large cardboard box, ensuring she would be safe, and passed her into the arms of rescue. That moment, captured on video, says it all: Juju’s eyes are wide, her body trembling, but there is already trust in her gaze.
Since then, Juju has bloomed. She has left the sounds of war behind – but carries with her a quiet gratitude that touches everyone she meets.
