🔄 UPDATE FROM FOSTER
A few days ago, beautiful Ilo moved into her new foster home. ❤️ Like many moved dogs, she needed a little time to take everything in. But as the days have passed, her true personality has started to shine… and her foster family have completely fallen for her.
This is what they say:
“Ilo is a sweet and sensitive girl with so much love to give. She can take a little time to trust, but once she does, her affectionate side shines through and she’ll happily ask for strokes, belly rubs and cuddles.
She’s a big foodie who loves her meals and treats, but nothing makes her happier than going for a walk, whether it’s a quick stroll or a new adventure.
Ilo would be best suited to an adult-only home or one with older children who understand that rescue dogs need patience and space while they settle in. She could live with another dog, although she can be protective of her food and personal space, so early management would be key. Ilo is currently living happily with two dogs and, as her confidence has grown, she has become much more relaxed.
She would also love a garden… she absolutely adores stretching out on the grass and sunbathing.” 🥰
🐾 Meet Ilo
Ilo is a 6-year-old lower-medium girl with the gentlest soul. She escaped the war in Ukraine in 2022, believing her difficult days were finally behind her.
After several happy years in a loving home, changing family circumstances and new baby arriving meant she sadly needed to start again. Now she’s looking for the peaceful forever home she truly deserves.

💔 Her Story
Ilo arrived in the UK just weeks after the war began, leaving behind everything familiar in search of safety.
She rebuilt her life beautifully with her adoptive family, but when a new baby arrived, the dramatic change in household routine proved too overwhelming for such a sensitive girl. Wanting the very best for Ilo, her family made the heartbreaking decision to let us find her a home better suited to her gentle nature.
This wasn’t because Ilo did anything wrong. It was simply about finding the environment where she can truly thrive.
🐾 More About Ilo
Ilo is wonderfully clever and incredibly rewarding to get to know. She loves her walks, enjoys exploring new places and absolutely adores food, making training both easy and fun.
Once she trusts you, she becomes incredibly affectionate. She’ll gently ask for fuss, melt into belly rubs and happily curl up close to the people she loves.
She’s fully house-trained, settles well in the home and enjoys having a predictable routine.
Her foster home has also shown us just how well she can live with other dogs. She currently shares her home with two canine companions and is becoming more relaxed every day as her confidence grows. Like many dogs, she appreciates having her own space around mealtimes, but with simple management this hasn’t stopped her settling happily into a multi-dog home.
And if the sun comes out… you’ll almost certainly find Ilo stretched out on the grass, soaking up every ray she can find. ☀️❤️
🏡 Ideal Home
Ilo is looking for a calm, loving home where life is predictable and peaceful. She’d love a secure garden for her daily sunbathing sessions and people who enjoy getting out for walks before returning home for cuddles on the sofa.
She could happily live as an only dog or with a calm, friendly companion, provided sensible introductions and simple feeding management are in place.
Most of all, she’s looking for people who understand that some of the deepest bonds are built with a little patience.
