Berry is around 1.5 years old, a small girl and most likely a gorgeous little Jack Russell cross. She is bright, affectionate, endlessly curious and very sociable — the sort of dog who considers absolutely everything that happens around her to be potentially her business. 😁❤️

At the shelter they affectionately call her “the little Minister”. Not because she bosses everyone around — she doesn’t — but because Berry must be first to investigate, first to know what is happening and preferably involved in every single activity.

💔 Rescue Story

Berry was found running along a motorway, far away from any human settlement. There were no nearby houses to explain where she had come from and nowhere safe for her to go. A little dog alone beside fast-moving traffic was an accident waiting to happen.

Whatever happened before she was found, she is now safe. But for a little dog who wants to participate in absolutely everything, shelter life is hardly where her story should stop.

🐾 More About Berry

Berry currently lives indoors at the shelter and already has excellent foundations for family life. She is very good with her toilet habits.

Meeting strangers isn’t an issue either. Berry comes over immediately to sniff, investigate and introduce herself.

She is very affectionate but not clingy or demanding. She enjoys attention and human company without insisting that every second belongs to her.

What Berry does insist upon is knowing what’s going on. 😂
Open a door? Berry would like to investigate.
Something happening outside? Berry should probably check.
People doing something interesting? Obviously supervisory assistance may be required.
That’s how she earned her “little Minister” nickname.

She is simply an exceptionally curious, communicative little dog who loves being involved in life.

Berry also loves other dogs. She is friendly with males and females and genuinely loves playing, so she could be a fantastic companion for another playful dog.

She has plenty of enthusiasm for walks and adventures, but underneath all that cheerful curiosity is a very sweet and affectionate little girl.

🏡 Ideal Home

Berry would be wonderful for an active family who wants their dog to be part of their life.
She isn’t looking for a quiet existence where nothing much happens. She would love walks, outings, games, interesting places to sniff and people who enjoy having a clever little companion involved in their day. Home with a secure green garden with nature access. ¬¬

A friendly, playful resident dog could be great fun for her, although there is nothing to suggest that Berry must live with another dog, especially when she will have an opportunity to socialise with other dogs on walks.

She is friendly with children and could make a lovely family dog.

💞 Somewhere out there is a family whose household is currently suffering from a serious shortage of management. 😁 Berry is available to rectify the situation.

She’ll inspect the walks, supervise family activities, investigate anything new and make sure she hasn’t missed something important — all while remaining the affectionate, funny and very sociable little girl underneath the imaginary general’s uniform. ❤️
