Barsik is a 1.5-year-old lower-medium boy (below the knee) with one of the softest, most affectionate characters you could imagine. From the very first moment he meets people, he leans in close, gently asking for attention — and once you start stroking him, he never seems to want it to stop.

💔 Rescue Story
Barsik used to live in a home with a family who had been displaced by the war. At first he had people and warmth around him. But life in that household changed. The man began drinking heavily, and the woman eventually made the painful decision that Barsik would be safer and calmer somewhere else.
And so he lost his home.

Barsik is currently living in a shelter, but he clearly belongs in a home. He used to live indoors and adapted easily to family life.

He is incredibly human-oriented. He wants to be close, always near his person, quietly asking for affection. He melts under gentle hands and seems to need that connection deeply.

He is calm by nature, with a balanced energy level. He enjoys walks and activity but is generally a peaceful, steady companion. He is also very obedient and eager to please — the type of dog who tries his very best simply to be noticed.

With other dogs he is social and friendly. He interacts politely and happily with everyone.

Barsik would thrive in a loving home where he can be close to his humans and finally feel secure again. He could happily live with other friendly dog (we recommend female dogs for male dogs) or as an only dog receiving plenty of attention.

More than anything, he needs a person to belong to.
