💔 Axel’s life was once turned upside down when his people fled the war, leaving him behind near an abandoned house. Lonely and confused, he waited faithfully for someone who would never return — until rescuers found him and brought him to safety. From the first moment, Axel showed nothing but gratitude, gentleness, and a deep desire to connect with people.
After arriving in the UK, Axel went into foster care alongside another dog from the same transport. His foster family initially hoped he would bond with the younger female, but Axel proved to be more of an independent spirit — confident and not a pack dog. The younger one was too timid to match his energy, so for Axel’s happiness, it was decided that he would do best as the only dog, where he can truly shine as someone’s one and only loyal companion.

In foster care, he has shown just how intelligent and trainable he is — he knows sit, down, stand, and is learning recall beautifully. He’s crate trained, house trained, and walks wonderfully on the lead. Out and about, he’s a joy to take for walks — friendly, calm, and confident when meeting new people and dogs.
At home, Axel is affectionate, attentive, and adores cuddles. He has a big personality and an even bigger heart — he thrives on companionship and enjoys being the centre of his human’s world.
