💔 Rescue Story

🐶 Ace and his brother spent around two months wandering through a small Ukrainian town. They had nowhere to belong and were repeatedly chased away wherever they tried to stay. Week after week they became thinner, while surviving as best they could on the streets. Then Ace’s brother was hit by a car.

Thankfully, both boys eventually came into rescue care. Ace’s brother is currently taking a little pause from looking for a home while his injured leg recovers, while Ace is ready to take the next step towards a family of his own.

After spending so long being told to go away, we’d love Ace’s next destination to be somewhere he is very much wanted. 💙

🐾 More About Ace

Ace currently lives at multi-dog foster place, sleeps indoors in separate building and behaves well in his living environment.

Meeting new people certainly isn’t something he worries about — if anything, Ace sometimes makes friends a little too enthusiastically. 😁

He is affectionate and loves being close, but he also listens. If his enthusiasm becomes a little too much, a clear instruction is enough for him to understand that it’s time to give you some space.

Ace is an active boy and he loves having things to do. Balls and sticks are particular favourites. He loves long walks, enjoys playing with other dogs and is also a very good swimmer. Give him somewhere safe to splash around and Ace will happily add swimming to the day’s activities. 🌳🎾💦

He gets along with dogs and really enjoys canine play. He has also lived nicely around puppies. Because he is a substantial, enthusiastic boy, we recommend older children aged 12–13+ who won’t accidentally be knocked over during the game.

🏡 Ideal Home

Ace would be fantastic for an active family who wants a dog involved in their lifestyle — long walks, countryside adventures, games, swimming and plenty of time outdoors.

Another friendly dog would be a big plus, and we feel a playful female companion could be an especially good match. Having a canine friend would give this extremely sociable boy someone to share his games and energy with.

Ace could also be the only dog in a really active home where he receives plenty of exercise, interaction and opportunities to use that busy body and brain.

He is not a dog looking for a quiet life with two short walks around the block. But equally, he doesn’t need anything extraordinary — he simply needs people whose idea of enjoying a dog matches his idea of enjoying life.

💞 Ace has so much love for people and such a naturally joyful way of connecting with everyone around him. He is affectionate, sociable, fun and always happy to be included.

Whether sharing your home with a canine friend or having his humans to himself, what matters most to Ace is belonging — being part of the family, joining in with everyday life and knowing that this time nobody will send him away.

He has spent long enough looking for somewhere he is welcome. Now we hope he finds the family who will be just as happy to have him as he will be to have them. 💙
