🌟 Reduced adoption fee
💔 FROM A FAMILY HOME TO MONTHS IN KENNELS… OSKAR DESERVES SO MUCH MORE!
Oskar spent his whole life with his family, who adopted him as a tiny puppy. Sadly, a couple of months ago, an overseas work relocation meant they had to make the difficult decision to rehome him.
Since then, Oskar has been living in kennels, and we are desperately searching for a foster or foster-to-adopt home to give this wonderful boy his life back! 🙏
🐾 Meet Oskar
Oskar is a gorgeous 4½-year-old medium-to-large German Shepherd — friendly, affectionate, playful and incredibly intelligent. He has so much potential and has already impressed our volunteer with how quickly he learns!

🐾 Our Volunteer’s Assessment
Our volunteer first met Oskar while he was still living with his family and has continued spending time with him in and outside the kennels.
From their first meeting, Oskar was confident, welcoming and happy to receive affection.
It became clear that although he knows basic commands and has good recall with familiar people, he hasn’t had the consistent training that an intelligent German Shepherd needs.
He can pull strongly on the lead and become overexcited around passing dogs. However, our volunteer believes this is more likely excitement and over-arousal than aggression.
❤️ THE WONDERFUL NEWS? OSKAR IS INCREDIBLY TRAINABLE!
He is food-motivated, responsive and can learn something new within minutes! With positive reinforcement, he has already made encouraging progress.
During visits to busy public places, Oskar has managed to stay focused, sit calmly and even watch other dogs without barking. His loose-lead walking is improving too!
He has also enjoyed walks through a nature reserve, showing no interest in chasing ducks or birds.
Oskar previously enjoyed running off lead in fields and responded well to recall, although we recommend starting with a long line in his new home while building trust and practising his skills.
He is a clever, willing boy who simply needs consistency, guidance and someone who enjoys training. 💙
🏡 Ideal Home
Oskar needs someone familiar with German Shepherds or other strong, intelligent breeds, who can provide calm, confident guidance and continue his positive-reinforcement training.
A house with a good-sized, secure garden and fencing at least 6 ft high is essential, as this is the lifestyle he has always known.
We recommend him as the only dog, where he can enjoy individual attention, regular walks, enrichment and plenty of opportunities to learn.
Oskar is past the puppy madness but still young, active and ready for adventures. He already has good household manners, basic commands, a friendly nature and an impressive ability to learn. Imagine what he could become with someone willing to invest time in him!
💔 PLEASE DON’T LET OSKAR SPEND WINTER IN KENNELS!
As the weeks pass, he is becoming increasingly unsettled. It is heartbreaking to see a dog who has always known family life waiting behind kennel doors.
💞 Oskar doesn’t need a perfect trainer. He needs someone patient, committed and willing to help him become the wonderful companion he has every potential to be.
Could you be the person who gives this beautiful boy his second chance? 💙🐾
