💔 Rescue Story
Dora was simply dumped near a petrol station outside a village. By chance, her rescuer spotted her there and couldn’t leave her. She brought a crate to the men working at the petrol station, who helped feed and keep Dora safe until she could be taken into rescue.
That chance encounter changed everything for her. ❤️
🐾 More About Dora
Dora now lives in a foster home and is fully housetrained, toileting only outside. She is still learning to walk confidently on the lead.
With someone completely new, she may initially politely observe. But one meeting can be enough — next time, Dora can already be running happily to greet you. Once she knows you, she is incredibly affectionate and absolutely loves being stroked.
Dora watches other dogs closely, follows them and copies what they do. Their presence helps her understand that situations are safe, which is why a resident dog is so important for her. She also loves canine company and play.
One of her sweetest habits is collecting toys and carrying them into her bed. She happily shares her treasures with everyone. 🥹
She is good with children, although sudden or very sharp movements can make her wary, so a quieter, dog-savvy family would suit her best.
🏡 Ideal Home
Dora needs a home with a friendly, confident and still playful resident dog who can be both her companion and her guide.
A calmer household with sensible children aged 12+ would suit her beautifully. She doesn’t need to be pushed into new experiences — let her watch, learn from her canine friend and build confidence naturally.
💞 Dora may watch from the sidelines for a moment before deciding it’s safe to join in. But give her that moment — and soon you may have a joyful little girl running to meet you, bringing her toys to bed and following her favourite dog around as though they have always been a team. ❤️
