Berta is a 3-year-old lower-medium girl — incredibly gentle, calm and loving. She isn’t a flashy dog who necessarily stands out in a photograph, but meet her and everything changes.

Behind that ordinary coat is an extraordinary dog. Gentle, beautifully balanced, affectionate and incredibly kind, Berta has the sort of nature that families dream of finding. ❤️

💔 Rescue Story

Berta used to have a home. Then her family brought her to a shelter, tied her to a tree outside and left. It was later discovered that they had moved away, fled from war country. 😞

She now lives in a shelter enclosure, although everything about her shows that she was a home dog. She walks beautifully on the lead and patiently waits to toilet outside.

I met Berta personally when I visited the shelter this summer, and she touched me enormously.

She comes straight to you, looks into your eyes and seems almost surprised that somebody wants to stroke her. When you do, she sort of holding her breath so the moment won’t end. ❤️

Berta is wonderfully balanced and easy-going. She is gentle with children, friendly and calm with other dogs and incredibly affectionate without being demanding.

Behind her ordinary-looking coat is a soul of gold — the kind of dog any family could dream of.

🏡 Ideal Home

Berta could live with a friendly dog or be the only dog. She would also suit a family with sensible children. She doesn’t need anything extraordinary: good walks, kindness, companionship and the chance to become someone’s beloved family dog again.

💞 Photographs don’t really show you Berta. I wish every potential adopter could meet her as I did — sit beside her, stroke her and look into those incredibly deep, sad eyes.
She sees the world with her heart. ❤️

Berta is fully healthy, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (approved laboratory certificate provided).
