💔 Rescue Story
Marta actually found a home once before. She was adopted as a puppy and, for a while, it seemed that her future was settled. But the war changed the lives of millions of people and their animals. Marta’s family had to leave, and she was given up. So through no fault of her own, this young girl found herself without a family again.
She has already known what it means to belong somewhere. Perhaps that is why she seems so determined to find her way back into family life.
🐾 More About Marta
If you are looking for a dog who needs persuading to make friends, Marta is probably not the one. 😁
She is extremely well socialised and approaches people with complete enthusiasm. She loves affection, loves being involved and has a wonderfully positive attitude towards almost everyone she meets.
Marta looks directly into people’s eyes. She watches you, stays close and seems to be asking for that connection all the time — as though she is quietly checking whether perhaps you might be the person who takes her home.
Although she enjoys playing and is moderately active, Marta’s biggest priority isn’t endless running. It’s people. She loves staying close, watching what her humans are doing and simply being part of their world.
Children are special to her. She naturally gravitates towards them and we would absolutely love to see Marta in a family with dog savvy children, where she could once again experience the busy, happy family life she misses.
She also gets along beautifully with dogs and enjoys playing with them, so she could happily share her future with a friendly canine companion.
🏡 Ideal Home
Marta is one of those lovely, uncomplicated dogs who could fit into a very wide range of homes.
She is sociable, affectionate, adaptable and eager to connect with people. She could live with another friendly dog or enjoy being the only dog receiving plenty of family attention.
A home with children would be lovely for her.
Marta needs ordinary happy family life — walks, affection, company, games, people coming and going, and the security of knowing that this time she really belongs.
💞 Marta has already had one home disappear because of circumstances completely beyond her control. Yet she hasn’t stopped believing in people for a moment.
She still approaches everyone with joy. She still presses herself close. She still looks deeply into people’s eyes as though searching for an answer to one very important question: “Is it you? Am I finally going home?” ❤️
We hope very soon someone will be able to tell her yes.
