💔 Rescue Story
Capitan was spotted wandering beside a road, alone and with an open wound on his neck.
We don’t know what caused the injury or what happened to him before he was found. Thankfully, he was taken to safety, his wound was treated and it healed beautifully. Today, only a barely noticeable scar remains.
Whatever Capitan’s previous life held, it certainly hasn’t changed his lovely attitude towards people. He still welcomes new friendships with quiet happiness and seems genuinely pleased whenever somebody stops to give him some attention.
🐾 More About Capitan
Capitan currently lives indoors in rescue mini sheltet and behaves beautifully in the home. He is a very sensible, well-mannered boy and walks nicely on the lead.
When meeting someone new, he is calm and comfortable from the beginning. He doesn’t throw himself at people demanding attention, but he absolutely enjoys affection and is always happy to be stroked.
Capitan is equally easy around other dogs. He is very friendly with them, but at his age he doesn’t feel the need to turn every canine encounter into a wrestling competition. 😁 He enjoys their company peacefully and will occasionally have a little play when the mood takes him.
Another dog would therefore be perfectly welcome in his future home, but Capitan doesn’t need one. He could be equally content as the only dog.
Although he is a calm boy, please don’t mistake that for wanting to spend his whole life on the sofa.
Capitan loves his walks.
He enjoys exploring, investigating new places and seeing what is happening around him. At seven, he has reached that rather lovely stage where a dog can enjoy an adventure without needing to turn the entire outing into chaos.
And then there is his favourite toy. 💙
Among all the things available to him, Capitan has chosen one special toy as his own favourite. It is such a small detail, but somehow it says a lot about this sweet boy — after being found injured and alone beside a road, he now has something that is his.
We hope very soon he will have something much bigger to call his own too.
🏡 Ideal Home
Capitan could fit beautifully into many different homes.
He doesn’t need another dog, an exceptionally active family or a complicated programme of training. He needs kind people who appreciate a calm adult companion but still enjoy proper walks and little adventures together.
He could live with another friendly dog or happily have his humans to himself. He is gentle with children and could make a lovely family companion.
Most of all, Capitan seems ready for normal life.
Walks. New places to investigate. Affection when he comes looking for it. A comfortable bed. His favourite toy nearby.
And people who won’t disappear.
💞 Seven isn’t old. It is simply old enough to have learned some manners and young enough to have many adventures still waiting. Capitan doesn’t need to be the loudest dog in the room to make himself special.
He is simply a very good boy — calm, kind, curious and quietly affectionate.
We’d love his next adventure to begin with someone clipping on his lead, putting his favourite toy in the bag and saying: “Come on, Capitan. We’re going home.” 💙
