UK Surrender (Wolverhampton WV3):Jake- 1,5 years old Patterdale Cross boy-small-to-low medium- Reduced Adoption Fee

💙🐶 JAKE – HE THOUGHT HE WAS HOME… BUT LIFE HAD OTHER PLANS 🐶💙

🌟 Adoption fee reduced (rehoming), RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks insurance provided upon adoption (on request) 🌟

💔 Some stories are particularly hard to write. Jake came into our rescue in October 2025, still a puppy. We helped him find what we hoped would be his forever family and for many months everything seemed perfect.

But life changes. His family are now preparing to welcome a baby and have made the difficult decision to ask us to help Jake find a more suitable home before that happens.

Jake is deeply loved. But he is uncomfortable/nervous around young children and his family feel it would not be fair on either Jake or the future child to put everyone in a situation where they would struggle.

🐾 More About Jake

Jake is described by his current family as very loving and friendly with his owners and visitors to the home. He loves being close to his people and is very much the sort of dog who enjoys cuddles and companionship.

He sleeps on the bed, enjoys playing with toys and balls, loves exploring the garden and has all the curiosity and determination you would expect from a young terrier.

Jake can be left for a few hours without any problems and he fully settles and knows some basic commands. His recall is described as good and he enjoys an active lifestyle.

Like many terrier types, he is always interested in investigating scents and movement.

He is not fully confident around traffic. Can get on with other dogs but tends to be reactive on a lead. In his previous home he often visited other family with dogs and was always friendly with them.

🏡 Ideal Home
Jake needs an active adult home with no young children living in or regularly visiting the property.

His ideal family is one that loves countryside walks and exploring nature together — but also appreciates coming home afterwards to share the sofa with an affectionate little lap dog who loves nothing more than cuddles and being close to his people. ❤️🐶

A family familiar with terrier breeds would be ideal, especially people who appreciate their intelligence, enthusiasm and sometimes cheeky personalities.

He would love a secure garden, and, most importantly, people who want a dog that enjoys being close and involved in everyday life.

💞 Jake isn’t looking for perfection. He is looking for a home that accepts him for who he is, and gives him the love and companionship he thrives on.

Because despite everything, Jake is still the same affectionate little lap dog who simply wants to belong. ❤️

🩺 Health Information
Jake is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He has a very mild heart murmur which currently does not prevent him living a happy, active life.
