UK Based(Folkestone CT19): Yara -9-month-old lower-medium girl (below the knee)-gentle & affectionate

❤️🐶 YARA – FULL OF GENTLE LOVE AND LEARNING THAT MEN ARE SAFE 🐶❤️

💔 Yara arrived in the UK in the middle of May with hope this would finally be her forever home.

But unfortunately the trial placement where Yara was with her brother Marco, has not worked out— not because Yara did anything wrong, but because she is still a very young sensitive puppy trying to understand a completely new world.

Her foster says:
“Marco and Yara arrived to me after having only been in the UK for 5 previous days.

I think none of us can fully appreciate how overwhelming the change of life can be for these precious young souls, having lost everything they’ve known, endured a really long journey and then found themselves in a strange land, with strange people, language, smells, sights etc.”

Yara had very little experience with men before arriving in the UK. Her previous fosters were women only, so unfamiliar men simply feel overwhelming at first. Just insecurity and lack of experience.

And honestly… given patience, kindness and just a few weeks, Yara learns that men can be kind and safe too.

🐾 Meet Yara

Yara is around 9–10 months old, lower-medium in size, with one of the softest, sweetest natures imaginable.

✨ Highlights ✨
• SIZE: Lower-medium (47 cm / approx. 17 kg)
• SPAYED: Yes
• CHARACTER: Gentle • Loving • Sensitive • Loyal • Affectionate
• DOGS: Needs another friendly resident dog
• CATS: Not tested
• CHILDREN: Adult home or with older calm children
💔 Current Situation

When just arrived in UK, Yara bonded beautifully with the woman in the home and quickly showed how affectionate and devoted she truly is. But adjusting to a completely new country, home, language and life while also trying to trust unfamiliar men became emotionally overwhelming too quickly.

The family tried, but found it difficult when children became upset by barking during those moments of insecurity around Dad and male family members.

What Yara truly needed was simply more time. And honestly, just a few more weeks would likely have changed everything.

🐾 More About Yara

Her current foster says:

“Yara appears to be more afraid than Marco in general, especially with people, but doesn’t tend to be vocal. She takes a little longer to bond, but bonds equally strongly with her human.

She is gentle, sweet, has a beautiful nature and looks to her human mostly for guidance and reassurance. I think her human will be her strength, her protection and her all in all.”

Yara is one of those naturally soft dogs who quietly stays close, watches her humans lovingly and deeply bonds once trust is built.

“She is incredibly loving and loyal with her humans. A real shadow dog.”

Yara absolutely NEEDS another friendly resident dog in her future home, because another balanced, playful, calm dog gives her emotional reassurance and helps her understand the world feels safe. She would thrive with a gentle medium-sized dog companion who can quietly guide her confidence.

She walks beautifully in heel position on lead and constantly checks in with her person for reassurance.

For both puppies (Marco and Yara), foster says:
“They are both amazing young dogs, still puppylike in many ways. They are not high energy and are very restful and well mannered in the home. They are both incredibly loving and so loyal and affectionate with their humans!! Toilet trained. Can be nervous of unfamiliar people close up, but no aggression, may bark, or shy/hide away. Getting used to new noises

Once bonded with their human, they love contact, cuddles, strokes, belly rubs and are happy to be brushed. Beautiful natured dogs, not demanding at all, just need their human to be there for them.”

🏡 Ideal Home

Yara would thrive in a calm, predictable home with patient loving people who understand that trust sometimes takes a little time to grow. She absolutely needs another friendly resident dog beside her — a balanced, gentle companion who can help her feel emotionally safe and guide her confidence naturally.

A quieter environment rather than busy city life would suit her best, ideally with a secure garden where she can relax and settle at her own pace. She needs people who will allow trust to develop naturally without pressure or rushing her emotionally.

A woman-led home or a calm, understanding man willing to gently build trust over time would suit her beautifully.

💞 Yara is not difficult. She is simply young, sensitive and trying very hard to understand a world that changed completely overnight.

Give her kindness, patience and a dog friend beside her… and she will reward you with the gentlest, most devoted love imaginable. ❤️
