❤️🐶 IZZY – YOUNG GIRL WHO DESERVES A LIFE AS BIG AS HER HEART 🐶❤️
💔 This is one of those posts where there is no blame… only honesty and love.
Izzy is not being rehomed because she was neglected. She is being rehomed because she deserves more than her current life can offer.
Her owner has taken time, thought deeply, and made the hardest decision — to put Izzy’s needs above their own feelings. And now we must make sure this leads to the right home for her. 🙏
🐾 Meet Izzy
Izzy is a 2-year-old female German Shepherd. A bright, affectionate and intelligent young girl with a typical working-breed nature — she thrives on engagement, structure and being part of an active life.
✨ Highlights ✨
• SIZE: Large (approx. 33 kg)
• NEUTERED: Yes
• CHARACTER: Affectionate • Intelligent • Energetic • Social • Engaging
• DOGS: Social but can be overly excited and vocal
• CATS: Vocal towards cats but not highly fixated
• CHILDREN: Not fully assessed — best with older, dog-savvy children
💔 Rescue Story
Izzy has been with her current owner since she was young and has been loved and cared for.
However, over time it has become clear that her needs as a young German Shepherd — for time, energy, structure and engagement — are more than can realistically be provided long-term.
Her owner works long hours and lives a quieter, lower-stimulation lifestyle, and despite best efforts, managing both their own wellbeing and Izzy’s needs has become overwhelming.
This has not been a rushed decision. It has been made with care, responsibility and love — to give Izzy the chance to live the full, enriched life she deserves.
🐾 More About Izzy
Izzy is a sweet, affectionate and people-oriented girl who enjoys close companionship at home. She is used to living in a house with a garden, is fully housetrained and settles well indoors, sleeping calmly in her crate at night.
She loves play, especially fetch with her ball or frisbee, and benefits from activities that engage both her body and mind. She is a clever girl who already knows commands like sit, stay, leave it and recall, and she learns well with consistency.
On walks, Izzy can pull on the lead and may be vocal around other dogs due to excitement, but this is something that can be improved with continued training and guidance. She is social and has interacted well with familiar dogs, though she needs help managing her enthusiasm.
She may become anxious when left alone and can be vocal, so she would benefit from a home where someone is around more often or able to gradually build her confidence with alone time.
She is friendly with visitors, though may be initially vocal, and overall is a loving, engaging companion who just needs the right outlet for her energy and intelligence.
🏡 Ideal Home
Izzy needs an active, structured home with someone who understands the needs of a young working breed.
She would thrive with a person or family who can give her time, routine, exercise and ongoing training — someone who will enjoy working with her and helping her grow into her full potential.
A home with a garden would be ideal, and a lifestyle that includes regular walks, engagement and interaction is essential.
She could live with another balanced dog with proper introductions or as an only dog with enough human interaction.
Due to her size and energy, and limited experience, a home with older, dog-savvy children would be most suitable.
💞 Izzy is full of potential, love and life. She is not “too much” — she just hasn’t had the chance to be matched with the life she truly needs. Please be the one who gives her that chance. ❤️
