💔 Her Journey So Far
🛑 Sandy was rescued as a puppy, found in a field hiding in a hole alongside her mum and sibling. She was shy but sweet, and we hoped her journey to the UK would mean she’d be safe forever.

🏡 But her first adoption didn’t work out—home office with too many visitors, too much chaos, and her sensitive soul couldn’t cope. She became over-attached to her mum and anxious around everyday visitors, especially men.

🌀 Her second family adored her—but after they occasionally dropped her lead and she snapped at one dog on a walk, they chose to rehome her, citing tension with neighbours. The saddest part? Sandy gets along well with most of dogs, especially off leash, friendly and nice their other dog, and is an angel at home with adults and kids.

💖 More About Sandy
🐶 Sandy is the ultimate people dog—she loves cuddles, is brilliant in the house, fully housetrained, calm, clean, and affectionate. She bonds fast and deeply. Once she trusts you, you are her person, and her joy shines through in every cuddle and tail wag.

🚶‍♀ Outside, she’s a classic case of leash reactivity (frustration based) —she may bark or lunge when passing unfamiliar dogs on lead, but with the right support and gentle training, this is very manageable. She walks wonderfully in open spaces on a long line, and is relaxed and friendly off lead (secure fields would be perfect for socialising with other dogs!).

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 She’s brilliant with older children and loves attention. She gets along well with calm dogs but doesn’t like to be pestered—she’ll set boundaries. She could be your only dog or live with the right companion.

🛋 Indoors, she’s a dream: quiet, loving, affectionate, well-mannered. Sleeps through the night. No destruction. Just pure love.

💬 Her current family says:
“Sandy is a loving girl—brilliant with kids and adults. She’s very cuddly, forms strong bonds, but is reactive to dogs on walks and needs someone who can continue to guide her gently. She’s not difficult—she’s just sensitive.”

🏡 Ideal Home
🏡 Sandy would thrive in a peaceful and quiet environment (not busy urban one or flats with communal garden), with a private secure garden, where walks can be quiet and tailored to her pace. She needs someone home most of the day—perhaps a single person or a couple, or a family with dog-savvy children 8+.

A confident, calm resident dog could work—but not a pushy or overly playful one. Sandy doesn’t want to be the centre of attention—but she does need to feel safe.

💞 Why Sandy?
This girl is a diamond. And all she wants is a hand to hold, a lap to cuddle on, and someone who sees her as more than a “problem on a lead.”

🩺 Health Information
Sandy is fully healthy. Spayed. Fully vaccinated and microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before the trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
