π Why Laurie Needs a New Home
πΆ Laurieβs previous family sadly had a change in circumstances and were no longer able to meet his needs. He has now come into rescue care.
πΆ Laurie currently at Foster and that’s what they say about him: ” I’ve been fostering Laurie over a week now and he is probably one of the quickest dogs I’ve had to settle in. He is a trusting and loving little soul who will greet everyone with his snuffling little sounds and seemed comfortable in the house from day one.
He loves a scratch and a fuss and likes to be in the same room as you but doesn’t need attention all the time. When he’s had enough he will take himself to his bed for a little snooze which is definitely his favourite past time! He’s calm and sleeps a lot and is happy to be left alone.
Despite being a little lazy he does have his moments of energy and although he may protest at the start of a walk he does enjoy himself when he gets going and spends ages snuggling around the piles of fallen leaves. He is great on the lead and I’ve felt comfortable with him off the lead too. He seems fine with other dogs we’ve met on walks and generally just ignores them.
He will make a great and loving addition to any house but maybe a calmer setting would suit his personality more. ”
πΆ Laurie is friendly and easy-going, a little overweight but otherwise healthy and happy. He loves being with people, is excellent on the lead, and travels beautifully in the car. Heβs sociable with other dogs and enjoys their company, but isnβt pushy. He also gets along well with children. Laurie doesnβt like being left for long hours β he is very much a companion dog, happiest when near his humans.
π‘ Ideal Family
πΆ Laurie would do best in a calmer home with people who can offer him time, attention, and lots of love. A gentle resident dog would be a bonus, though not essential. What matters most is a safe, caring environment where he can relax and feel part of the family.
π This sweet boy is both gentle and obedient β a little gentleman with a heart full of love. Laurie is ready to blossom in a family who can give him the stability and calm he deserves. In return, he will be the most loyal, affectionate companion, bringing warmth and joy every day.
