π Why a New Home is Needed
πΆ Jakeβs owner, an older gentleman, was heartbroken to let him go. They have shared a beautiful bond, but sadly his health has declined, and he can no longer give Jake the walks, playtime, and activity this young boy needs. With heavy heart, he reached out to the rescue to help find Jake a new home β one that can offer the love and companionship this little lad deserves.
πΆ Jake is currently at Foster family they been thinking about adoption but feel that due to his energy levels he is not the right dog for them. That’s what family say about him: ” Jake is a very sweet, friendly and affectionate little dog. He travels well in the car and settles easily at night, he loves his sofa snuggles too. He eats well and likes to play with a ball. He is however a very active dog and would need someone who is strong and fit enough to work on lead training and dealing with his strong prey drive and a very strong desire to play with other dogs. We feel he would also need to be homed where there there are no younger children, particularly vocal babies/toddlers.”
π About Jake
πΎ Jake is a happy, social and affectionate little dog who adores being close to his human. He is active explorer, loves his walks and behaves beautifully on the lead. Indoors, heβs calm, cuddly, and enjoys being near you β ideally on your lap or snuggled by your side. Heβs well-behaved, fully housetrained, and used to a peaceful home environment. He can be shy with new people at start, but warms up quickly.
πΎ Jake enjoys the company of friendly dogs and often plays with his ownerβs other dog, but we recommend pairing male dogs with female dogs to prevent potential competition, even if it hasnβt been an issue before.
πΎ He isnβt suitable for a home with cats and will chaise small animals due to his breed, but would thrive as either the only pampered pet or alongside another friendly small dog.
π‘ Ideal Family
π· Jake would suit a active home where someone is around most of the day, someone working from home who wants a cute loyal companion. Heβd also be happy in a small family with older, dog-savvy children who can respect his playful, but gentle nature.
πΆ Jake is full of love and charm. Heβs affectionate, intelligent, and loyal β a little shadow who just wants to be near his person. Whoever welcomes Jake into their life will gain a devoted, cheerful companion and years of unconditional love.
